Is there a shuttle bus from LAX to Santa Monica?

The Santa Monica Pier is generally safe during peak evening hours when it is bustling with activity and concessions are open. However, safety diminishes significantly once the rides and shops close, and the crowds disperse, typically late at night. Visitors should exercise caution and avoid walking alone in the surrounding areas, especially near the beach, after the pier shuts down. Taking pre-arranged private transportation directly to and from your hotel is the safest practice after dark.

Yes, Santa Monica is generally considered a safe place to stay, particularly in the areas near the beach, the Third Street Promenade, and major hotels. The city maintains a visible police presence, and the atmosphere is busy with tourist activity. However, visitors should remain aware of their surroundings, especially around the Santa Monica Pier late at night, and exercise general caution typical of any urban area in Los Angeles. Pre-arranging your late-night transport is highly recommended.
