Are there yellow cabs at LAX?

The Los Angeles metropolitan area is served by a large network of both international and regional commercial airports. The primary airport is LAX (Los Angeles International Airport). Other major commercial airports serving the greater Los Angeles area include Burbank (BUR), Long Beach (LGB), Orange County (SNA), and Ontario (ONT). All these facilities contribute to the extensive **Los Angeles** air traffic network, offering domestic and international travelers multiple options for flights into Southern California.

The distance for the LAX-it **shuttle** from the terminals to the centralized pickup lot (LAX-it lot) is very short, but travel time varies widely based on traffic congestion in the loop. The shuttle typically takes between 5 and 15 minutes to travel the distance, though it can be longer during peak periods. The airport provides a free shuttle to manage the consolidated pickup area for ride-share and taxis, as these services cannot pick up directly at the terminal curbsides.

To pick someone up from Terminal B (Tom Bradley International Terminal, TBIT) at LAX, you must use the centralized **LAX-it lot** if you are driving a personal vehicle or using a ride-share service. Curbside pickup is prohibited for non-commercial vehicles. For a highly convenient alternative, pre-book a licensed **LAX Car Service**. Our professional chauffeur will meet your passenger directly at the arrivals curbside (lower level) and whisk them away without needing to take the LAX-it shuttle.

To pick up a ride-share, hotel, or rental car **shuttle** at **LAX**, proceed to the dedicated ground transportation area outside the terminal on the arrivals level (lower level). Look for the blue signs indicating ‘Shuttles & FlyAway’. Specific shuttle stops are color-coded, such as the green signs for the LAX-it lot shuttle (for ride-share/taxi pickups) or the red signs for Hotel & Private Parking shuttles. Wait at the corresponding curb to meet your desired **lax shuttle service**.

To pick up the **Value Park LAX shuttle**, wait at the designated ‘Airline Connections’ or ‘LAX Parking Lot Shuttle’ stops on the arrivals level (lower level) outside of your terminal. The Value Park shuttle is a dedicated service run by the airport to transport passengers between the airport parking lots and the terminals. These shuttles run frequently, typically every 15-20 minutes, throughout the day and night. Look for the white shuttles marked ‘LAX Parking Lot **C**’ or ‘LAX Parking Lot **E**’ at the corresponding curb.

The LAX terminals are arranged in a horseshoe shape, connected by the LAX ring road. Terminals 4 through 8, plus the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT or Terminal B), are connected post-security via walkways. Terminals 1, 2, and 3 are generally disconnected from this main grouping. Passengers move between non-connected terminals by taking the free **LAX shuttle service** (Bus A). The arrivals area (lower level) handles pick-ups and baggage, and the departures area (upper level) handles drop-offs and check-in.

For domestic **Delta flights at LAX**, passengers should plan to arrive approximately two hours before the scheduled departure time. For international Delta flights, plan to arrive three hours early. Delta operates primarily out of Terminals 2 and 3, which are connected post-security for convenience. However, traffic in the Los Angeles airport area can be unpredictable, making early arrival essential, especially during morning or afternoon peak travel hours. Check the **LAX** official website for the most current security wait times.
